What to use in place of dashi stock in gyudon?

i want to make Gyudon today but i dont have any dashi stock and there is no store within a hour of me to get it. What can I use in its place. Maybe fish stock?What to use in place of dashi stock in gyudon?
Sure, use fish stock. Or beef stock. Or make your own dashi. I'd just use beef stock for gyudon.
