Can you make japanese miso soup w/krn miso paste?

you knoe those miso soup/broth that jap restuarants give you.

ive notived its a bit more cleaner and refreshing taste to it than korean miso soup which is basically full of vegetables and meat. i want to make the jap miso soup/ i don't care if it's not authentic.i have the korean miso paste and i just want those soup they make at the jap restaurants

and do they put the bonito fish dashi?

if you put that will the soup get all fishy?|||I make miso soup quite often at home. there is no secret to it. is very simple.

3 cups dashi soup stock (chicken bouillon)

1 block tofu

3-4 tbsps miso paste

1/4 cup chopped green onion

Put dashi soup stock in a pan and bring to a boil. Cut tofu into small cubes and add them to the soup. Simmer the tofu for a few minutes on low heat. Scoop out some soup stock from the pan and dissolve miso in it. Gradually return the miso mixture in the soup.

Stir the soup gently. Stop the heat and add chopped green onion. Remember not to boil the soup after you put miso in.

*Makes 4 servings
