What is the cheapest way to get from Eugene Or to Portland airport without a ride?

I have no car and no available friends to drive me...Just started searching...And leave tomorrow...!|||other than walking or hitchiking or biking

you can get a greyhound ticket for $23.50

Here's a map of the MAX line.

The closest light rail station to Union is Oldtown/Chinatown.

Here's a route from Union Station to the MAX station. It's only about a half a mile.

Here's Amtrak's website.

Fares are around $25-$30 and MAX isn't that expensive. GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME!!! Amtrak tends to be off schedule. It takes 2-4 hours to get from Eugene to Portland on Amtrak. Unfortunately, freight has right-of-way.|||I found myself in a similar situation today except that I have to get from Tacoma to Eugene tomorrow, then make the trip back on Sunday.

There's a good chance trains are all sold out by now, but that might be worth a quick check. I bought train tickets for the trip down, which were like $69, and greyhound tickets for the trip back up, which were $41.

Hitchhiking would probably be the cheapest way, but those are really your main two options. I'd recommend Greyhound if you want the cheaper price. I'm sure a taxi to Portland would be hella expensive, so that should only be a last resort. (I took a taxi just across Tacoma once and it was like $10)

Once you get to Portland, it should be pretty easy and cheap to take the local transportation to the airport. good luck.
